Nigerian Meat Pie

MEATPIE
5 pieces of medium meat pie size.
INGREDIENTS
– 500g of all-purpose flour
– 1tsp of baking powder
– 250g butter
– Water
– 1/2tsp salt
– 250g minced beef
– Seasoned cubes
– 2 medium-size carrots
– 2 medium-size Irish potatoes
– 1 medium-size onion
–  fresh pepper
– 1 large egg
– Vegetable oil
METHODS
1. Preheat your oven to about 3200F.
2. Wash and cut the potatoes, pepper, carrots, and onion into small pieces.
3. Fry the minced meat and onion with vegetable oil. Add about 100ml of water. Add Maggi cube and salt to taste. Cook for 1minute then, add the carrots and potatoes mix properly, and fry until the meat is cooked.
4. Add about 50ml of water to 2tsp of flour in a cup and stir. Pour the content into the meat mixture and continue stirring.
5. For the dough, pour the flour into a bowl and add baking powder and a little bit of salt. Mix with your hand properly, add butter bit by bit and mix until you finish all the butter. Add about 70ml water and continue mixing until a stiff dough is formed.
6. Rub butter on the oven tray, break the egg on a plate and mix it. Roll out the dough with a roller to about 6mm thickness.
7. Use a round cutter to cut the rolled-out dough.
8. Scoop some of the meat sauce into the center of the round cuts, and rub the egg on the inside edge of the cut dough. Fold over and make a design at the edge of the meat pie.
9. Arrange the meat pie into the oven tray and put it inside the preheated oven to bake.
Serve with any drink of your choice.
